About getting paid. Card payment inside foodstand is not built yet, so nothing is charged here and nothing is taken out of your money. You get paid the way you already do: cash at pickup, or whatever app you and your customer both use. The 5% shows up on your own order list so you always know where you stand. When card payment arrives we will tell you before anything changes.

The ones people actually ask
Do I need a business licence?
We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. Most states have cottage food rules that cover selling food you made in your home kitchen: what you are allowed to sell, where you can hand it over, how much you can make in a year, and whether you need to register. Search for the cottage food rules in your state and read them before you take money. They are usually short.
Can customers pay in the app?
Not yet. Today foodstand takes the order and gives you the name, the number, the pickup time and the list. You settle up the way you already do. We are building card payment, and we are not going to pretend it is here before it is.
What does it cost?
Nothing to start. The free plan counts 5% of each order. Pro is $29 a month and counts nothing. If you are selling more than about $600 a month, Pro is the cheaper one.
Can I use it on my phone?
That is what it was built for. Add it to your home screen and it opens full screen like any other app. You never need a laptop, and your customers never need anything but the link.
